My Background.
I come from a home building family.  From the time I turned 11, I was helping my father along with my brothers in our family home building business.  In 1980, I went to work full-time building custom homes.  Beginning 1988, I learned production home building, and in 1992, I began my extensive career consulting and estimating for some of the most notable home builders in the Greater Houston area and throughout the country.

I’ve lived the life of a Builder.
When I learned home building, a builder actually built his homes.  As a custom home builder from the “old days”, I’ve set the forms, framed houses, run plumbing pipes, and pulled wire. I’ve insulated, trimmed and painted. I’ve done tractor work, landscaping, and much more. Working for various production builders, I learned, implemented, and developed systems that ensured profitability and quality standards. As a consulting estimator, I’ve learned the techniques, approaches, and methods that modern home builders use.

I understand the needs of homebuilders.
As a professional estimator that has consulted with many hundreds of home builders and worked on literally thousands of projects in my estimating career, I know what our area home builders need, how to work with material suppliers, how to find and hire the best turnkey vendors as well as how construction trades think and  how they do business.
